T on Tuesday

I am joining Elizabeth for T on Tuesday and as you can see this particular Tuesday has been designated as sort the ribbon stash out.... again.....
the ribbon on reels aren't too bad but these always end up at the bottom of the large box and I forget to search down that far when I am looking for a particular sort or colour.
and this canvas storage box is full of larger ribbons and lace and ric-rac
and I am hoping that it will be 'a piece of cake' as it says on my frothy coffee mug.... but I think it may take a while....
oh and we finally got some of the masks back on the lounge wall!  I have kept the numbers down this time and made it into a feature piece rather than try and display every mask I own.  Yes, the picture at the top of my blog was my lounge wall previously....
and this it with both the uplighters and downlighters on... think it looks quite nice! ;)
Looking forward to visiting all the T ladies between ribbon sorting!

  2. And I thought I had a lot of ribbon! It is "fun" sorting things though--at least for me.

I love your mask display--especially the elephant!I assume you collected them on your travels around the world?

They are something to deal with tho aren't they. I try to remind myself that I now have enough.

  7. When you find a GOOD way to store your ribbons, please let me know. It's one of the things that truly befuddles me. I have tried nearly everything and not much as worked. You seem to have lots of it. I gave up on paper ribbon several years ago, but even my fabric ribbon is out of hand.

I adore that Piece of Cake mug. It is gorgeous, and really regal looking.

In a way, your mask wall looks a bit bare, but I like it because each mask has its own light now.

Thanks for sharing your mask wall, your lovely mug, and your ribbon sorting with us for T this Tuesday. Any and all suggestions for better ways to store ribbon will be greatly appreciated!

  10. Ribbons are hard to store. We have ours in those picture boxes you can get at the craft stores like Michael's and JoAnn's. That way there's only one layer and we can sort them by color and even stack them if we need to.

You really have a wonderful mask collection. I'd put up as many as you please! ;) Happy T-Day! :)

  12. I have been sorting through ribbons too! I have three rather large boxes with ribbon in and actually I rarely use any ribbon these days! I was sorting mine with a view to shoving some on Gumtree. Maybe someone else who uses more ribbon than me can get the benefit of it. I've quite a lot of stuff I should be clearing out but you really have to be in the sorting out mood to do it! Love your mask wall. I have two wooden masks my son brought back from his travels in Africa. Good luck with your sorting.

  13. Oh that wall looks lovely! Yes, I can see now that less is better. Your living room looks really cozy and I love the colour of the wall behind the masks and the lighting.
I know what you mean about the reels sitting at the bottom. I have got two separate boxes for that very reason.
    Thanks for visiting earlier,
    Have a good week,
    Lisca

Don't envy you the ribbon storage problems, that is a lot of ribbon.
Take care and have a good week.
Thanks for the visit - for some reason I cannot sleep and I have to be up early in the morning for a tradesman to arrive.
